"And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."  Matt. 10:42

The program at Crowley's Ridge Academy PALS is based on the developmental philosophy of education.  The program is for children ranging in age from 2 1/2 (potty trained) to 5 years old.  Each child is considered a unique individual and is worked with and allowed to progress at his or her own rate of development.  PALS Director, Pam Parker says, "We do our best to provide a home away from home for each child".

The program is open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Regular classes meet Monday-Friday mornings from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The PALS sessions that are offered include:

1.  Full time program - 5 days per week.
2.  Monday, Wednesday, Friday, full day.
3.  Monday, Wednesday, Friday, half day (8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.)
4.  Tuesday, Thursday, full day
5.  Tuesday, Thursday, half day

ACTIVITIES - The PALS program includes opportunities for self-selected activities including blocks, housekeeping, creative arts, books, puzzles, and dramatic plays.  Group activities of outdoor play, music, stories, science, and math concepts are also used.  Play is supervised, but not highly structured.  In the spring of each year, PALS also has it's own Olympic Games.

SNACKS & MEALS - Snacks are served at mid-morning and at mid-afternoon.  A child-sized portion of food from two different food groups is served at each snack.  Lunches meet nutrition guidelines established by the USDA.  Lunch is served between 11:20 and 11:35 daily.

NAPTIME - Naptime for the PALS students is from 12:00 p.m. until 2 p.m.  According to licensing standards, every child who is at the center during naptime must lie down.  The children who nap at school must bring two towels.  Please put your child's name on all of his/her belongings.

Playing hard - The children at PALS have play time every day so that they can be imaginative and burn energy at the same time.  This allows them to learn more quickly and efficiently during other activities.
